Fairness

I'm all about fairness this year.  It's notable to say that AJ Burnett (2-0) has two more wins than the Boston Red Sox (0-6).

Can the next post be called Sample Size?

Just trying to be as painfully positive about this team, as you are being painfully negative.

Come on, John. You've been around here for long enough to know how much I think Burnett sucks. This is really for the purpose of humor more than anything else.

great pitching display in this game so far.

It's okay. Lackey pitched a lot better than the line 5 IP, 7 hits, 6 ER, 2 BB, and a home run indicates. He felt good last year and he got that ERA down.

the red sox were going to win a game this weekend, but it would have been nice to make them sweat for at least one game. now it's time to get down to business and make sure the yankees get at least one of the next two.

Pat, you've changed. The old you would have been flipping tables if the Yankees lost a series against a previously-winless team.

i can remember going back at least as far as 2008 writing in this space that you just want to make sure you get one game in fenway. don't get swept. anything else is gravy. so nothing has changed there. i don't care how many wins a team does or doesn't have. this is a good team and they are always especially dangerous at home. it's a business trip. get up there, make sure you get one, try to get two or (or four or five as we've seen at certain times), and then get out.
